Legislative Outreach Continues in Wyoming

Matt Ballou, WyHy FCU, Bobbie Frank, Vice President of Legislative Affairs-Wyoming, and Shane Schulz, Wyoming credit union lobbyist met this week with Representative Jeremy Haroldson, R- HD 4, representing Platte county and a portion of northern Laramie County, to discuss credit union legislative priorities including electronic titling and public funds legislation to allow credit unions to accept public deposits.

Haroldson, a Pastor in Wheatland, was elected to the House of Representatives in 2021.  He does face a general election challenger, however it’s projected he will easily win re-election. He currently serves on the House Corporations, Elections and Political Subdivision Committee and the Judiciary Committee.

With the Freedom caucus taking the majority of the House, Haroldson will be running for Speaker Pro Tem.  The Speaker Pro Tem is next in line to the Speaker of the House and assists the Speaker in leading the House.

The parties will caucus after the November 5 general election to elect leadership.
