GoWest MAXX Event Opens in Denver Oct. 13

One of the largest credit union events brings together professionals, exhibitors, and dynamic thought leaders

Denver, Colorado (Oct. 12, 2024) — Credit union professionals from the six states served by GoWest Credit Union Association are gathering in Denver for MAXX 2024. Kicking off Oct. 13, this signature event features more than 70 speakers, 50+ content sessions, 120 booths at the Solutions Tradeshow, renowned keynotes, a charitable auction, the GoWest Awards Dinner and Gala, and tons of exciting new and interactive ways to engage with peers and grow leaders throughout the six state GoWest region and industry.

Monday, Oct. 14

9:30 a.m. Troy Stang, President and CEO, opening keynote and vision. He’s joined by Sharee Adkins, Chief Impact Officer and Executive Director of the GoWest Foundation, and Jennifer Wanger, Executive Vice President and Chief Advocacy Officer for GoWest. The three dynamic leaders discuss the incredible potential for credit unions, advocacy wins and goals, and the variety of GoWest Foundation impacts across communities.

1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Breakout sessions will feature topics including advocacy, rural engagement, economic look-ahead, green lending, and more.

Tuesday, Oct. 15

9 a.m. John Harwood, CNN White House Correspondent, CNBC Chief Washington Correspondent, and Wall Street Journal Political Editor will start the day with a keynote on the current political moment. This is hardly the first time American politics have been divided, but it’s the first time it’s been bitterly divided in this way. With insight, humor, and rich personal stories, John Harwood will draw on decades of work for the most prestigious outlets on the media landscape and describe the unpredictable electoral outlook that this collision of forces has produced.

11 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. Breakout sessions will feature topics including the Welcome Home Tucson program, regulatory landscape, AI, emerging threats, and more.

Wednesday, Oct. 16

10:45 a.m. and 1 p.m. The day’s breakout sessions feature roundtables, branding, 2025 projections, and more.

2:15 p.m. Closing keynote Chaunte Lowe, Boundless Resilience TMM Keynote Speaker, Top Resilience TEDx Speaker, 4-Time Olympian, & Cancer Survivor will close the days’ speakers by discussing strategies for overcoming any obstacle to thrive through any challenge, where inspiring stories and practical strategies converge. This high-energy keynote will be a celebration of triumphs born from navigating tremendous adversity. Attendees will gain insights into transforming setbacks into opportunities for personal and professional growth, all while developing a resilient mindset that propels them and their teams forward.

5:30 p.m. The GoWest Awards Reception, Dinner and Gala will be a high-energy, interactive event during which credit unions will share and celebrate their groundbreaking accomplishments.
