Giddyap! Getting Ready for the CU4Kids Auction at MAXX!

Get your diamond-studded duds dusted off because this year’s CU4Kids Diamond Roundup Benefit Auction at MAXX 2024 is going to be an event to remember! This “Glam Rodeo” themed extravaganza, inspired by the spirit of Dolly Parton and the Rhinestone Cowboy, will be held at the stunning Gaylord Rockies Hotel and Convention Center in Denver on Tuesday, Oct. 15.

This annual gala is shaping up to be the best in the West! Last year, thanks to the generosity of our attendees and supporters, $1.2 million was raised for Children’s Miracle Network hospitals across the region. This year, we aim to surpass that amount and make an even greater impact.

Children’s Miracle Hospital Ambassador – Raven

We are excited to have Raven, a real cowgirl, join us at the auction and serve as this year’s Miracle Child. Thirteen-year-old Raven enjoys riding horses, swimming, and track. She participates in barrel racing, cattle herding, horse judging, and other rodeo events AND she was crowned 2023 Junior Princess for the Fremont County Rodeo in Riverton, Wyo.!

When Raven was 15 months old, her pediatrician in Riverton discovered she had an abnormal heart murmur. After being referred to Children’s Hospital Colorado at the Anschutz Medical Campus for several tests, Raven’s parents learned that she had a form of congenital heart disease called mitral valve arcadia, which means the flap of tissue in the heart that opens and closes to make sure blood is flowing in the right direction was not working properly.

Raven underwent several catheter procedures, one in which her valve was “ballooned” to allow her time to grow before she would need open-heart surgery to replace her valve. When she was 7 years old, her cardiologist determined that it was time to replace Raven’s valve with an artificial one. She underwent open heart surgery in October 2019. Raven requires at least two checkups a year with her cardiologist, and without the Children’s Colorado Outreach Clinics, Raven’s family would have to travel to Denver at least twice a year, which would add significant stress to their lives.

We’re so excited to have Raven and her family join us for this special night.

Donations for Online & Live Auctions Needed

The auction committee is currently seeking donations for year’s online and live auctions.

The live auction will feature six unique state experience packages, including sports tickets, getaways, spa and golf experiences, and dinner packages. If you or your credit union have any state-specific items that would make your state’s package truly special, let us know!

The online auction will go live approximately one month before MAXX and feature great items like gift baskets, sport tickets, wine tastings, dining and travel packages, and more. This online auction will be open to both MAXX attendees as well as those who can’t be at MAXX but want to get in on the fundraising fun. Any donations for this auction would be greatly appreciated!
