Wyoming Policy and Prosperity Event Presents Opportunity for CU Messaging

Brandon Smith, CFO, Meridian Trust FCU and Bobbie Frank, GoWest participated in the Wyoming Business Alliance Policy and Prosperity Summit last Thursday. GoWest also sponsored the first of its kind legislative candidate event aimed at dialogue between candidates for Wyoming’s state legislature and Wyoming’s business community.

All candidates for legislature were invited to have meaningful conversations between industry leaders on important policy matters. Much like a speed-dating format, representatives from several different Wyoming industries were at the tables and candidates, in 20-minute increments, rotated between the tables. Pictured is candidate for Senate District 24, Gillette Phil Christopherson who shared that he is a long-time credit union member.

Smith and Frank were able to discuss the credit union’s legislative priorities, including electronic titling initiative in detail with nearly 50 legislative candidates.
