Wyoming Towing Notification Legislation Advances

The Wyoming House Transportation Committee unanimously passed HB 86- Vehicle lien – amendments today. In addition to GoWest member credit unions, the Wyoming Towing & Recovery Association, Wyoming Bankers Association, and the American Property Casualty Insurance Association voiced support for the bill.

We appreciate George Sellitto and Heidi Culek from WyHy FCU and Adele Gardner and Brandon Lang, Meridian Trust FCU who were on hand to show support for the bill on behalf of the credit unions.

The bill will now go to the Committee of the Whole (COW) in the House, followed by second and third readings.  Thursday is the deadline for the bill to pass COW. The bill must be completely through the House by Monday. Next week is a crossover when bills go to the second house for action.

The GoWest team has communicated with House Majority Floor Leader Chip Neiman to ensure the bill gets scheduled on COW and will keep tabs to help reinforce the importance of the bill.
