Senator John Barrasso’s wife loses battle with cancer

Sen. John Barrasso’s wife, Bobbi, has died from brain cancer, his office announced Thursday.

“After a courageous battle with cancer, Bobbi is now at peace and at home with the Lord. In addition to being a devoted wife and mother, Bobbi was a leader, fierce advocate for Wyoming, and friend to everyone she met,” Barrasso said in a statement.

“We miss her dearly. On behalf of our entire family, we thank everyone for your prayers and continued support as we remember her and grieve together,” he continued.

Barrasso’s office confirmed Bobbi died at home in Casper, Wyo. on Wednesday night after a two-year battle with a Glioblastoma brain tumor. She was 70 years old.

“GoWest would like to express our deepest sympathies to Senator Barrasso and his entire family,” said Ryan Fitzgerald, SVP Advocacy. “He has been a valued partner serving on the Senate Finance Committee and our thoughts are with him at this difficult time.”

Bobbie Frank, VP of Legislative Affairs for Wyoming added, “Senator Barrasso and his family are in our thoughts and prayers. Bobbi was a beautiful, gracious person who will be sorely missed. Senator Barrasso has long been a strong supporter and the credit union family of Wyoming extends its condolences.”
