It’s Idaho Credit Union Day at the Capitol. And We’re All In!

Credit unions joined GoWest in hosting a large delegation of Idaho’s state legislators at the annual Credit Union Day at the Capitol luncheon in Boise Wednesday. Lawmakers were asked to support common-sense legislation updating the Credit Union Act this session, as some provisions haven’t been updated in 47 years! The legislation will help credit unions innovate better ways to serve members. Priorities of the legislation include access for government entities to competitive investment opportunities in credit unions, which benefits taxpayers.
Honoring Advocates
Idaho Central Credit Union and Frontier Credit Union (formerly East Idaho CU) were honored as the 2023 Top of the Hill credit unions for deep engagement at the state hyper-local level as well as in the Beltway. With the year 2024 off to such a strong start, many of the credit unions serving Idahoans are on top of their advocacy games!
