Emerging leaders in the Credit Union Movement have a rare opportunity to attend the CUNA Governmental Affairs Conference – the premiere national advocacy event bringing thousands of credit union enthusiasts to Washington, D.C. to meet with Congress.

Through the Cooperative Trust, the Filene Research Institute, and CUNA, The Crash the GAC program provides opportunities for “crashers” from every state to get a front-row seat to all of the activities – Hill visits where advocates meet with their U.S. senators and House members, networking, and access to the conference, where world-class thought leaders deliver keynote addresses.

This will be the 15^th year the GAC Crashers program is offered. It includes conference registration costs for those selected, while crashers’ credit unions typically pick up flights, hotel rooms, and other daily expenses. The 2024 CUNA GAC takes place March 2- 7, 2024.

In addition to sharing all of the rich experiences the GAC offers to all attendees, crashers are treated to special content where they dive into Credit Union Movement history, leadership development, and more. The application deadline has been extended to Nov. 26. More than 200 candidates have started — but not completed — their applications and must finish them in order to be considered for the 2024 cohort. There is still time for other potential crashers to start and submit their applications as well.
