Where You Will Work: Remote role open to candidates residing in Washington (WA) or Oregon (OR). Travel is required for this position. (Branches)
Pay Range: The target hourly pay range for this position is $29.39 – $36.74. The full hourly pay range is $29.39 – $44.09.
- We provide an additional $2.00 per hour bilingual differential for those employees who can support our members’ financial needs effectively in a second language; subject to verification of strong grasp of financial terms utilizing language skillset.
- Compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer of employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.
Job Overview:
This position manages inbound and outbound pipelines to generate insurance sales. Tailors insurance solutions for each client to meet their unique needs. Preserves and reviews the policies at the time of renewal.
What You’ll Do:
- Generates new business opportunities by actively contacting prospects (from internal and external referrals and lead lists), scheduling appointments, making sales presentations, providing quotes tailored to the specific needs of the client and closing new personal lines accounts.
- Employs creative networking and sales strategies to generate leads that convert prospective clients into new clients.
- Develops and utilizes prospecting strategies to increase opportunities for new personal lines business and to recommend additional products to clients to ensure appropriate coverage is in place.
- Maintains existing client relationships and provides oversight to existing policies and account activity to retain insurance business.
- Ensures appropriate insurance sales documentation is accurately completed and finalized in a timely manner.
- Contributes to credit union and department team goals and functions, including but not limited to, initiating resolution of observed or known issues concerning other departments and championing other departmental changes that will benefit the organization.
- Meets with branches within assigned trade area to build relationships and establish strong referral channels either through scheduled events or attendance of branch scheduled sales meeting.
- Responds to all branch referrals via CRM within one business day. Proactively involves the Branch Manager to meet member demand and mitigate service failure.
- Uses established sales programs to meet or exceed production and referral goals established by Management.
- Ensures compliance with all insurance guidelines to reduce risk and exposure to the credit union.
- Travels to attend meetings and training sessions as required.
- Completes and reviews ad hoc reports as directed by the Insurance Supervisor.
- All other duties as assigned.
When You’ll Be Working: Monday-Friday 8:30am – 5:30pm and occasional Saturdays are required. Full-time 40 hours a week.
Qualifications:
- A minimum two (2) years’ experience home and auto insurance sales. Valid driver’s license required for utilization of credit union car fleet to conduct business.
- Must hold State of WA & OR Property and Casualty insurance licenses.
Bonus Points If You Have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field of study.
What You’ll Bring:
- Knowledge of the complete line of products and services offered.
- Knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act, Patriot Act, Federal Right to Privacy Act, and Fair Credit Reporting Act, regulations; in addition to other state, and federal security laws and applicable regulations for banks and financial institutions.
- Skill writing reports and business correspondence.
- Ability to network and develop contacts with members, the community and professional organizations.
