Numerica Credit Union Scholarships Create Positive Impact for 16 Students

Numerica Credit Union awarded $20,000 in $tarting Off Right Scholarships to 16 graduating seniors across Washington and North Idaho, helping students take the next step toward college, trade school and vocational education.

“This year’s record number of scholarship applications speaks to both the financial challenges many students face and the incredible difference they’re making in their communities,” said Jon Maroni, Numerica Financial Engagement Manager. “We’re proud to invest in students who are already creating positive change and look forward to seeing the impact they’ll continue to make.”

Recipients were selected based on demonstrated financial need and a strong commitment to serving their communities through volunteerism, leadership and advocacy.

Spokane

  • Norah Kaluza — Gonzaga University
  • Rachel Major — University of Montana
  • Kierra Moore — Eastern Washington University
  • Nina Folsom — Spokane Community College
  • Madeline Lebsack — Carroll College
  • Haylee Kelly — University of Idaho
  • Hunter Diana — University of Idaho

North Idaho

  • Skyler Chaffin — North Idaho College
  • Daniel Shoup — Whitworth University
  • Amanda Olson — Boise State University

Tri-Cities

  • Adrian Walle — Washington State University
  • Gisselle Serrato — University of Washington
  • Damien Nava — Washington State University

Wenatchee

  • Carlos Arevalo-Coria — University of Montana
  • America Guerrero-Macias — University of Washington
  • Julian Lozano-Cervantes — University of Washington

Since launching the scholarship program in 2016, Numerica has awarded more than $250,000 in scholarships to more than 100 local students, helping make higher education and skilled trades more accessible throughout the communities it serves.

Supporting education is one of the many ways Numerica invests in stronger communities. By helping remove financial barriers and recognizing students who give back, the credit union continues its commitment to enhancing lives, fulfilling dreams and building communities.
