Colorado Senate Unanimously Passes ASSET Act
Posted by Katie March on April 20, 2026
After passing the Senate Business, Labor, and Technology Committee last week, HB 1110, the ASSET Act, unanimously cleared the Senate floor. The bill now returns to the House to approve the amended version advanced in the Senate.
The importance of protections offered by this bill for seniors and other vulnerable adults was featured on the front page of the Denver Post today, building momentum behind a policy that Colorado credit unions have backed from the beginning, in partnership with AARP.
The ASSET Act is now well-positioned for final approval by the Legislature, but must clear the House before heading to the Governor’s desk for the final signature.
