Credit Union Modernization Passes 52-0 in AZ House

The Arizona Credit Union Act Update bill, HB2979, continues to move swiftly through the legislative process, marking an important milestone for credit unions across the state.

The Arizona House of Representatives worked into the early hours of the morning debating and voting on hundreds of measures. HB2979 was included among the bills placed on the third-reading calendar and ultimately passed the full House with unanimous support in a 52–0 vote.

The legislation now advances to the Senate, where it will be assigned to committee and move through the next phase of the legislative process. We will continue to monitor the bill closely and provide updates as HB2979 progresses in the weeks ahead.
