Deepen the Advocacy Bench at Advocacy Training Workshops

Do you, or someone on your team, feel the nudge to get more involved with advocacy? As credit union professionals, it’s critically important that we utilize our voices to advocate on behalf of our members, communities and especially, our credit unions.

GoWest hosts free virtual advocacy training workshops to help you discover what it means to be a credit union advocate and prepare you to get involved in telling the credit union story.

The next session of Advocacy 101 takes place Aug. 13 & 14. Participants will hone their regional and federal advocacy skills with GoWest grassroots and political engagement experts. Learn more about the 101 session and sign up here.

For those ready to take a deeper dive into more advanced strategies and tips for practical legislative outreach, Advocacy 201 will be held Sept. 3. You’ll come away armed with the how to’s of building relationships with elected officials and policymakers. Learn more about the 201 session and sign up here.

This training is encouraged for employees across the credit union in any role who have expressed interest in getting more involved with advocacy. Now is the time to deepen the advocacy bench and equip those who want to help tell the incredible stories of credit unions and how they serve their members. Encourage them to get involved in the advocacy journey alongside you.
