Drinking Coffee To Support Spokane Children’s Hospital

Coffee drinkers in the Spokane, Wash., area raised $10,000 for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals (CMN) on July 18. Thanks to Numerica Credit Union’s Miracle Coffee Day, $1 from every drink sold at Spokane-area Dutch Bros was donated to CMN, up to $10,000.

“At Numerica, we believe in the power of community and the impact we can make when we come together,” said Kelley Ferguson, Numerica’s Chief Administration Officer. “Miracle Coffee Day is an opportunity to raise funds that will help children receive life-saving care. We are proud to partner with Dutch Bros to make a difference, one cup at a time.”

Numerica Credit Union funded the event to bolster CMN’s support of local children and families. Sacred Heart Children’s Hospital is the region’s CMN hospital. In 2023, Sacred Heart Children’s Hospital treated more than 42,000 children. With help from community partners, CMN raised $2.2 million for the Spokane hospital.

“Numerica’s continued partnership helps us provide the highest quality of care for children in the Inland Northwest,” said Mary Hollingsworth, CMN’s Sacred Heart-based Program Director. “The generosity of Numerica supports specialized equipment, advanced educational training, and housing assistance for out-of-town families. It also benefits CMN’s Child Life and Arts in Healing programs.”

Miracle Coffee Day is funded through the Numerica CARES for Kids initiative, the credit union’s focused, long-term commitment to building brighter futures for youth and families. The impact for their nonprofit partners increases thanks to special events with like-minded businesses like Dutch Bros.
