Credit Union West Awards $10,000 in Scholarships to Arizona High School Seniors  

Credit Union West announced the five Arizona high school seniors chosen to receive scholarships from the credit union’s 2024 Scholarship Program. Each year, the CU West CARES Charitable Foundation provides $10,000 in scholarship funds to be distributed to five exceptional Arizona high school seniors. Each of the five winners will receive $2,000 to attend a trade school, two-year, or four-year college this fall.  

The five winners were chosen based on academic achievement, community involvement, and overall character. Applicants were also asked to submit an essay about how financial knowledge can empower other areas of their lives. 

The scholarship award recipients include:  

  •         Marli Brown, Sandra Day O’Connor High School, Phoenix
  •         Ryan Canedo, Prescott High School, Prescott
  •         Madison Greene, Millennium High School, Litchfield Park
  •         Leilani Perez, Arizona Virtual Academy, El Mirage
  •         Devin Reinhart, Highley High School, Queen Creek

“Our Scholarship Program is one of our favorite ways that we give back to the community,” said Karen Roch, President and CEO of Credit Union West. “Each year I am so impressed by these students and their strong commitment to their education and their communities.
