Wrapped in Kindness: InRoads Credit Union Staff Gives Back

In honor of Indigenous Peoples’ Day, the entire InRoads Credit Union staff came together on the holiday to give back to those in need. Partnering with Advocate Access NW Inc., credit union staff created 41 handmade no-sew fleece blanket kits during InRoads’ all-staff training day.

Each year, the credit union reserves part of its annual all-staff training day for a community-related project, such as building bicycles for CASA, packing food kits for Columbia Pacific Food Bank, or “welcome home” kits for newly housed individuals at With Love.

“Each of the kits was made with care, kindness, and a hope that it would bring a little extra warmth and comfort to someone in the community,” stated Hannah Baldwin, InRoads Credit Union Director of Marketing. “Every year during our all-staff training day, we like to do something for others in the community. This year’s giving project was truly meaningful for everyone involved and really put the credit union philosophy of people helping people into action.”

Advocate Access NW played an integral role in the project, working alongside InRoads employees to help create the blanket kits throughout the day. Their involvement not only helped bring the project to life but also strengthened the spirit of collaboration and community service behind the effort. At the end of the event, Advocate Access NW gathered the blanket kits and will distribute them to members who could use a little extra warmth and comfort during the colder months.
