Oregon State Credit Union Opens New Branch, Builds Community Connections

Oregon State Credit Union celebrated the opening of its new Cedar Mill branch with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Sept. 10, marking a new chapter in the credit union’s investment in the greater Portland community.

As part of the celebration, Oregon State Credit Union announced two new scholarship partnerships: the Oregon State Credit Union First Generation Scholarship at Portland Community College and the Oregon State Credit Union Access Scholarship at Portland State University. Both partnerships are designed to support students as they pursue their educational goals.

The credit union also launched a community giving challenge supporting the Basic Needs Hubs at both schools. Oregon State Credit Union kicked off the effort with a $1,500 donation to each Basic Needs Hub and is encouraging community members to join the effort through Sept. 30 by donating online or dropping off physical items at the Cedar Mill branch.

The credit union’s community involvement extends beyond its higher education partnerships. In the greater Cedar Mill area, Oregon State Credit Union has partnered with the Tualatin Hills Parks & Recreation District, sponsoring this year’s Summer Concerts in the Park and Big Truck Day. Team members are also scheduled to participate in a service project with the district during the credit union’s Day of Service on Oct. 12.

The new Cedar Mill branch reflects Oregon State Credit Union’s continued commitment to building relationships and supporting the communities it serves.
