A Decade of Growth Leads to Record Lending at Numerica Credit Union

Numerica Credit Union recorded the strongest lending month in its history in March, originating $114.8 million in loans – 167% of its monthly goal and a new organizational record.

The achievement reflects continued momentum under the leadership of President and CEO Carla Cicero, who has guided Numerica through a period of significant growth and expansion since joining the organization in 2012.

“This milestone is a significant achievement and represents years of strategic investment in our people, technology, products, and member experience,” said Cicero. “What makes me most proud of this lending growth is the impact behind it. Our core purpose of enhancing lives, fulfilling dreams, and building communities is reflected in every loan that helps a member achieve a goal, grow a business, or reach an important financial milestone.”

Record setting loan production was driven by strong performance across all business lines, including: Business Services, Dealer Services, Retail Lending, Home Lending Center, and Digital Lending.

“I’m incredibly grateful to our lending teams across the organization whose expertise and commitment to serving members made this achievement possible,” Cicero shared.

When Cicero joined Numerica in 2012, the credit union served approximately 93,000 members and held $1.19 billion in assets. Today, Numerica serves more than 178,000 members and has grown to more than $4.2 billion in assets.

Numerica recently broke ground on its 24th branch location in Moses Lake, Wash. Over the past year alone, Numerica introduced the DreamUp savings tool, enhanced its ATM network and digital banking experience, and launched several major community initiatives. Among those initiatives is the Numerica Veterans Arena naming partnership and the creation of the Numerica Heroes Fund, a 10-year, $1 million commitment supporting veteran and military service organizations throughout the region.

Numerica has earned recognition as one of the region’s top workplaces while continuing to expand access to financial services across Washington and North Idaho. The record-setting lending performance serves as the latest example of the organization’s ability to grow responsibly while delivering meaningful value to members and communities alike.
