Pints, Alpacas & Pickles in Portland: “Pints With Purpose” Returns to MAXX
Posted by Alyse Knudsen on September 4, 2025

At MAXX 2024, the Denver, Pike’s Peak, Pueblo, and Rocky Mountain Chapters came together to host the inaugural “Pints With Purpose” in Denver, bringing together credit union champions from all over the country to enjoy beer, music, and fun — all while raising money for Credit Unions for Kids. Their efforts raised a spectacular $75,000 for CU4Kids in just one evening!
Portland credit unions are upping the ante this year when they host “Pints With Purpose” on Monday, Oct. 13 – the first day of MAXX 2025.
When: Monday, Oct. 13 from 6-9 p.m.
Where: Spirit of 77, right across from the Oregon Convention Center
Tickets: $25
Who: MAXX attendees and credit union industry professionals
This networking and fundraising event is your chance to connect, unwind, and make a difference — all while enjoying:
- Games and trivia

- Raffle tickets and plush alpacas for purchase
- Live music from School of Rock

Plus, there will be special guest appearances from Dillion D. Pickle, the ever-spicy mascot of the Portland Pickles baseball team, and The Unipiper, Portland’s legendary unicycle-riding bagpiper!
“We are thrilled to see credit unions collaborating for such a meaningful cause,” said Nick Coleman, Director, Strategic Partnerships for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. “The funds raised through Pints with Purpose will directly support our hospitals and the families who rely on them. This event truly exemplifies the spirit of community and cooperation that credit unions are known for.”
