Spring Break for Arizona Legislators
Posted by Brooke Parent on May 9, 2025

The House of Representatives and Senate adjourned on Wednesday, May 7th, for what they are calling “Legislative Spring Break.” The House will return on Tuesday, May 20th, while the Senate will return on Wednesday, May 28th.
This break aims to give legislators time to reset and work out issues regarding the Budget and Prop 123, Arizona’s education funding, which is set to expire this summer.
With the Legislature recessed, the Governor is still working through a host of bills to sign or veto. As of 5/9/2025, Governor Hobbs signed 152 bills and vetoed 89.
