InRoads Credit Union, based in St. Helens, Ore., announced that Aimee Thompson, Business Development Officer, has been recently appointed to the Hillsboro Schools Foundation Board and the Hillsboro Farmers Market Board. In addition to her current roles as a Washington County Chamber Ambassador Co-Chair and member of the Hillsboro Rotary, Thompson has been spearheading efforts to deepen local community involvement, in light of the credit union’s upcoming new branch opening in Washington County.
Thompson’s new positions allow InRoads to identify critical needs, help close gaps in local services and build partnerships that benefit individuals and families across Washington County. As a board member, she will be instrumental in driving positive change, supporting local schools, students, and small businesses, while leveraging her connections in the financial sector to provide resources and solutions.
“We are absolutely delighted to welcome Aimee to our board,” said Aron Carleson, Executive Director, Hillsboro Schools Foundation. “Her leadership at InRoads Credit Union will undoubtedly enhance our community giving initiatives, ensuring that every student has access to the tools they need for exploration and self-expression. Together, we are paving the way for a brighter future for Hillsboro’s youth.”
Thompson’s involvement supports InRoads’ mission to enhance the financial well-being of its members and the broader community. Initiatives like the Financial Reality Fair, which partners with local schools to give students hands-on experience with real-life financial situations in a safe, educational setting, highlight InRoads’ history of creative financial solutions that make a lasting impact on the community.
“I’ve had the pleasure of meeting so many wonderful people in Washington County who share InRoads’ values,” said Thompson. “I’m honored to be part of both of these boards and look forward to meaningful connections and insights that will enhance InRoads’ support of this thriving community.”
