Recap: GoWest Credit Unions’ CDFI Roundtable Meeting on August 26th

On Monday, August 26th, GoWest Credit Unions hosted an insightful CDFI Roundtable meeting, featuring distinguished guest speakers from the National Association of State Credit Union Supervisors (NASCUS). We were honored to have Brian Knight, President and CEO; Sarah Stevenson, Vice President of Regulatory Affairs; and Shellee Mitchell, Member Engagement Manager, share their expertise on various topics related to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI).

The discussion emphasized the critical role of DEI in both the workplace and the broader credit union movement. Our speakers highlighted ongoing projects aimed at supporting DEI initiatives and various designations within the industry. Attendees gained a comprehensive understanding of DEI’s many facets, from creating inclusive work environments to fostering equity across credit unions.

This meeting was a significant step in our ongoing commitment to advancing DEI within the credit union community. We look forward to continuing these important conversations and hope to see you at our next CDFI Roundtable meeting, scheduled for November 18.
