Gesa Credit Union Opens First Branch in Post Falls, Idaho

Gesa Credit Union, a community-focused credit union headquartered in Richland, Washington, has announced the grand opening of its newest full-service branch in Post Falls, Idaho. The new facility, located at 317 S. Beck Road, is the credit union’s 29th branch, as well as its first full-service branch outside of Washington state. In honor of the grand opening, Gesa will be hosting a month-long community-driven celebration that includes giveaways at the branch, local business appreciation events, and donations to local hero organizations.

“This is a significant milestone for us as we extend outside of Washington for the first time and are honored to join the Post Falls community,” said Nathaniel Prior, Vice President of Branches at Gesa Credit Union. “The community here has been nothing short of welcoming since we first announced our plans to bring a branch here. As the month goes on, we cannot wait to meet more people and learn more about their needs so that we can best serve Post Falls for the years to come.”

Throughout the entire month of April, Gesa will offer branded swag items and the exciting opportunity to enter and win various prizes. To further show its support and appreciation for the Post Falls community, some of the activities Gesa will put on include:

  • Making donations to nonprofits such as Newby-Ginnings,
  • Conducting drop-offs at local hero organizations,
  • And hosting a kids’ book reading station at the branch to celebrate International Children’s Book Day.

The new location serves as a hub branch for Gesa’s expanding presence in Idaho, joining Gesa’s Commercial Loan Center located in Coeur d’Alene. The Post Falls branch provides personal and business banking services including loans and mortgages, as well as drive-up and walk-up Interactive Teller Machines (ITMs) that are accessible 24/7.

Since 1953, Gesa Credit Union has proudly served nearly 290,000 members across Washington state, both through its expansive portfolio of financial services and resources, and its commitment to community enrichment. Now one of the largest credit unions in Washington, Gesa remains true to its core values, which has led to the addition of several charitable and education-based programs and resources available in Gesa communities, including:

  • The Affinity Debit Card Program, which empowers Gesa members to give back to local heroes, schools, or community organizations every time a member swipes their co-branded Affinity Debit Card,
  • The Local Heroes Grant Program, which provides grants to organizations that support local heroes in the community, including firefighters, law enforcement, educators, veterans, and healthcare workers,
  • Free financial and educational resources available to members and the general public via Gesa University,
  • More than $1 million in scholarships for students who have active student loans, are entering college for the first time, or are pursuing higher education,
  • The High School Credit Union Program, which has provided hands-on, real-life financial industry experience for high school students since 2000,
  • And the Gesa Community Foundation, which further supports the credit union’s ongoing commitment to local communities and charitable giving.
