YCUP PDX is looking for passionate and talented individuals to join its board of directors in 2024.

Who can join?
If you are a credit union or CUSO employee then you are eligible to join the YCUP PDX board of directors.

Benefits of joining:
Get involved and network with other credit union professionals!

• Expand your strategic organizational planning abilities
• Gain board experience and learn how a board of directors operates
• Network with your peers

Expectations:

• Limited time commitment — monthly one-hour board meetings (mostly virtual) and one to three events per quarter (some in-person)
• Ability and willingness to travel to the Portland metro area for events and meetings
• Passion and excitement for the Credit Union Movement

Open Board Positions:

• Director of communications – An individual who is passionate about design and social media advertising
• Director of events – An individual who is detail-oriented, enjoys event planning
• Secretary/treasurer – An individual who is skilled at record keeping, note-taking, and has great communication skills.
• Board members – Individuals who are passionate about credit unions, who are team players, and ready to make 2024 the best year yet!

A self-proclaimed “emotional and career support group,” YCUP PDX was founded in 2008 to foster connection and collaboration among passionate credit union young professionals across the Portland region. The group has rallied around numerous causes over the past few years, raising money for LGBTQIA+ populations, BIPOC groups, CU4Kids, and more.
