Columbia Credit Union Recognized for Corporate Philanthropy by Portland Business Journal

Columbia Credit Union, based in Vancouver, Washington, has been recognized for Corporate Philanthropy by the Portland Business Journal as one of the Portland area’s most generous companies in the large business category.

This is Columbia Credit Union’s seventh recognition since 2017. During 2022, Columbia Credit Union helped raise $5.7 million for local organizations, donated to 54 nonprofits, and volunteered 1,797 hours of time working to improve education, housing access, environmental protections, and family causes across the community.

“It’s an honor to be recognized by the Portland Business Journal for Corporate Philanthropy. Service to our communities is integral to our mission,” said President and CEO Lindsey Salvestrin. “Making life better, supporting a strong, thriving community is important to our membership — together, it’s where we all live, work, and play.”

In the spirit of making life better in the community as the holidays approach, Columbia Credit Union’s participation in the KPTV Toy Drive will help deliver thousands of toys to kids and families in need across Portland and SW Washington. Donations of new, unwrapped toys can be dropped off at any Columbia Credit Union branch from Nov. 1 to Dec. 9.
