Where You Will Work: Cottage Grove Branch-600 W Jefferson Ave, Cottage Grove OR 97424.(Branches) This position requires frequent travel to all branches in Oregon.
Pay Range: The target hourly pay range for this position is $21.37-$26.71. The full hourly pay range is $21.37-$32.05.
- We provide an additional $2.00 per hour bilingual differential for those employees who can support our members’ financial needs effectively in a second language; subject to verification of strong grasp of financial terms utilizing language skillset.
- Compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer of employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.
Job Overview:
This position delivers exceptional member service by meeting members’ needs through our sales and service culture. Actively recommends products and services to help members build valued financial relationships. Performs a variety of tasks including transactions, resolve member concerns, following proper procedures to minimize errors, reduce fraud, and promote the credit union philosophy of “people helping people” and objectives. Travels to multiple branch locations to fill critical staffing needs throughout the Branch Network.
What You’ll Do:
- Approaches, welcomes, and engages all visitors who come into the branch. Manages the traffic flow of members with a sense of urgency to provide minimal wait times.
- Identifies and originates all products and services offered by the credit union.
- Receives, processes, and posts member financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and loan payments in an accurate and efficient manner. Maintains accurate records of all transactions.
- Processes cash orders with management oversight, completes wire transactions, and check reconciliation through teller capture/check 21.
- Balances cash drawer and daily transactions. Assists management with certifications, key assignments, and balancing the vault, cash dispensers etc.
- Completes all required training. Follows all security procedures and processes, including but not limited to, BSA regulations, including completing CTR and SAR reports when applicable.
- Records detailed notes to document member interactions, complex situations, complaints and transactions to minimize lapses in employee communication or member service.
- Takes a proactive approach to learning new credit union systems/processes.
- Maintains a professional image and engages as a positive team member.
- Mentors others on product knowledge, identifying needs and cross selling skills. Sets an example for all Staff (e.g., cross selling and member relations skills, punctuality, professionalism, etc.).
- Provides on-site and remote assistance to various branches and departments as needed, including traveling to different locations to support operations
- All other duties as assigned.
When You’ll Be Working: Monday- Friday: 8:45am – 5:45pm and rotating Saturdays: 9:15am – 1:45pm. Full-time 40 Hours a week. This position requires frequent travel to all branches in Oregon.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a related field, including exposure to sales, service, cash handling, consumer loans, residential, business services, and operations in a credit union or other financial institution.
- Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with members to identify member needs and cross-sell products and services.
- Must be fully proficient in all credit union systems and applicable hardware and able to adapt to consistently changing work environment, leadership, and role expectations.
- Must be able to be NMLS (Nationwide Multistate Licensing System) and Notary Certified.

All benefits except 401k start the first of the month following date of hire. Employees become eligible to contribute to 401k on the first of the month following 60 days of employment.
