Rebecca Laurie

BIOGRAPHY:

Rebecca Laurie grounds her work in building trust in public institutions, honoring the strength and resilience of Colorado communities and expanding pathways to economic mobility through collaborative, people centered approaches. She is committed to demystifying government systems, advancing economic justice, and strengthening consumer protection and financial fraud prevention through thoughtful engagement, communication, and policy design.

As Director of the Colorado Office of Financial Empowerment (OFE) in the Attorney General’s Office, she leads efforts to identify and remove barriers to financial well being and convenes statewide partners to develop practical, community driven strategies. With more than two decades of experience in public affairs, community engagement, and strategic communications across state regulatory, cultural, and educational institutions, Rebecca brings a deep understanding of how public private collaboration can strengthen communities and expand opportunities.

She began her career as a journalist and later completed the University of Colorado Boulder’s Graduate School of Banking program.
