GoWest Foundation Disaster Relief Fund
Wildfires often displace credit union employees and directors from their homes. GoWest can help with unexpected costs incurred due to displacement or damage from natural disasters. The GoWest Disaster Relief Fund provides up to $1,500 per person to cover expenses including lodging, fuel, food, and property replacement. Access to the fund is activated in response to regional disasters. To expedite getting emergency funds to those impacted by wildfires, the fund remains active and open for the entirety of the wildfire season. Disaster relief is also available to credit unions in the event branches or operations are affected.
Requests for assistance may come from a credit union’s leadership team, or directly from employees or board members. For more information, please contact GoWest Executive Director Sharee Adkins, or access the fund application here. The Foundation’s goal is to make the process as seamless as possible during a difficult time.
