Job Description:

Member Consultants are the heart and soul of WSECU.  Our Mobile Member Consultants travel between our branches and support the contact center fulfilling the needs of the team for the day.  Every day, no matter where you’re working, you’ll dig deep to listen to what our members need and you go out of your way to make their banking not only easy, but downright pleasant!  As a Mobile Member Consultant, you are the go-to, one-stop shop for our members.  You will accomplish this by being knowledgeable, empathetic and eager to help!  WSECU is a Co-Op with an all-volunteer board—we are truly accountable to our members, but we could not do it without you.  Ready to learn more?

Your day might include:

  • Performing all branch and contact center functions including consumer lending, opening new accounts, and providing teller services

  • Traveling to various branches throughout the northern region with the occasional possibility of statewide travel with short notice

  • Supporting the Contact Center and other departments as needed

  • Striving for and hitting your sales and service goals, while keeping the member’s best interest front and center

  • Contributing to your teams successes and celebrating along the way

  • Building and nurturing strong relationships with your members

  • Understanding your members’ journey, offering products and services to meet their unique needs

  • Contributing to team success in a variety of work environments

  • Showing empathy and lending a hand where your team members and teammates need it most. Championing members with all banking needs.

What you bring to the team:

  • Flexibility and Ability to travel statewide on short notice

  • Minimum of two (2) years of customer service or retail experience

  • Two years of experience in a financial institution or retail/service related position

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, including effective listening, speaking, and writing

  • Talent for presenting and explaining complex products and services

  • Intermediate or greater proficiency with Microsoft applications; ability to master WSECU computer operating systems

  • Ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality

  • Must be willing to register with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry, including fingerprinting and a national criminal background check, and maintain and renew the registration annually

  • Hold or willing to obtain notary license

Bonus points if you have:

  • Credit Union experience and understanding of financial regulations

  • Sales and customer service training

  • Experience with lending, new accounts, or a combination of both

  • The ability to work from home as needed

  • Bilingual or multilingual proficiency

Competitive pay: $23.03 – $34.54 per hour, dependent on applicable qualifications

Where we’re located:  Northern Region (primarily in Pierce, King and Snohomish counties) occasionally traveling statewide.

When you’d work: Monday – Friday, standard hours 8:30am – 5:30pm, with extended scheduling flexibility required meeting business needs.
