Loan Officer

Job Description:

Westminster FCU is looking for a consumer loan officer.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
– Process loan applications and gather necessary documentation for auto loans (including motorcycle and RVs), signature loans, home equity loans, secured loans, etc.
– Review loan files to ensure accuracy and completeness
– Verify borrower information, employment history, and creditworthiness
– Calculate debt-to-income ratios and other financial ratios
– Prepare loan documents and coordinate with escrow and title companies
– Communicate with borrowers, lenders, and other parties involved in the loan process
– Maintain confidentiality of sensitive borrower information
Requirements:
– Strong attention to detail and accuracy
– Proficient in 10-key typing and data entry
– Knowledge of banking industry and loan processing procedures
– Excellent math skills for calculating financial ratios
– Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
– Strong communication and customer service skills
– Familiarity with escrow processes is a plus
If applicant is selected, an NMLS ID number will be required. If applicant doesn’t currently have an NMLS, applicant will be required to obtain one within 6 months from employment start date. Other duties as assigned.
