Human Resources Representative

Essential Functions
HR Operations & Employee Records
- Create a welcoming environment by greeting visitors and directing them to the appropriate party.
- Represent and promote the Credit Union professionally and positively within the community.
- Prepare and maintain employee files, ensuring timeliness, accuracy, completeness, compliance, and confidentiality.
- Respond to employee questions and requests in person, by email, text, or by phone in a timely and professional manner.
- Participate in Human Resources staff meetings and attend other meetings, seminars, or training sessions.
- Assist with recruitment and selection activities.
Administrative Coordination
- Assist with benefits administration, including health and dental coverage, short-term disability, voluntary benefit plans, and the 401(k) retirement plan.
- Assist with the timely reconciliation of monthly billing statements and submit audited results to the AVP of Human Resources.
- Coordinate staff conference and travel arrangements and expense reimbursements.
- Coordinate and track Notary Public services, including bonds, applications, and renewals for new and renewing Notaries in a timely manner
- Monitor employee performance reviews to support timely completion.
- Process and enter data in the HRIS and performance management systems, with emphasis on new-hire information and general employee maintenance.
- Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and on time.
- Comply with the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).
Employee Engagement Support
- Maintain Human Resources reference, training, and procedural resources in the First Resource Center knowledge base.
- Coordinate and assist with the design, development, and writing of the quarterly employee newsletter.
- Assist with FCU events and programs, including new-hire orientation, the annual wellness program, employee awards celebrations, and employee-appreciation activities such as sports-ticket and gift-card giveaways.
- Manage and maintain FCU shirt inventory.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Associate degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Accounting/Finance, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of one year of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous human resources and payroll experience in a credit union preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required; experience with Paycom is highly desirable.
- Multilingual capabilities, including Spanish, are a plus.

Supervisory Responsibility
- This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
- This job operates in an office setting and routinely uses standard office equipment, including computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and related equipment.
- Physical presence in the office setting is required.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
- This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Periodic overtime may be required.
Travel
- Periodic travel to other FCU locations may be required.
