We are now looking to strengthen our IT team by adding a Vice President, Information Technology.

About the Role: This role is critical to furthering the achievement of Qualstar’s mission. The position offers the opportunity for a hands-on leader to deliver IT services supporting Qualstar’s business objectives, lead and develop the team of IT professionals and develop Qualstar’s IT strategy. IT services delivery will require both directing the team and personally executing critical tasks to maintain and enhance IT systems performance. The VP of IT will also partner with other leaders and the executive team to evolve Qualstar’s IT infrastructure and effectiveness. The role is on-site at our Bothell, WA headquarters, with occasional opportunities to work remotely and reports to our Chief Financial Officer.

 

Our Ideal Candidate: We are looking for a leader with a range of technical skills to manage a team responsible for a broad spectrum of technologies, along with strategy, leadership, and business collaborating skills to help us maintain the momentum of our technology advancements today and into the future.

  • You can configure a switch in the morning and present a 3-year strategic technology plan in the afternoon.
  • You have a broad knowledge base across the full technology stack, from hardware & telephony to next-gen firewalls.
  • You are experienced and adept with managing a highly secure environment within a regulated industry.
  • You’re excited by the opportunity to own and be accountable for an entire technology ecosystem.
  • You have specific, recent, hands-on expertise in most of our key technologies.
