Job Description:

Responsibilities:
1. Maintains understanding of all credit union policies, procedures, and regulations.
2. Oversees and acts as escalating point for all daily and advanced Operations functions, including ACH transactions, item processing, returned deposited items, review remote deposit capture (RDC), wire transfers, negative accounts, stop payments, unauthorized/disputed transactions, supporting notices and statements.
3. Ensures the maintenance of compliance with all federal regulations, managing appropriate member notifications and government reporting as required by law.
4. Leads analysis of daily deposit functions, which includes but is not limited to member record and deposit account maintenance, monetary transfers, official check reconcilement, check fraud suspect review, document scanning, and indexing and escalating items as needed to internal departments.
5. Ensures the processing of IRA contributions and distributions, required minimum distributions and tax reporting.
6. Processes tax attachments (e.g., garnishments, levies), subpoenas, member account fraud reviews.
7. Processes deceased member accounts including reclamations, review of approval of probate documentation (e.g., Letters of Testamentary, Letters of Administration, Spousal Allowance) and the appropriate distribution and closure of accounts.
8. Maintains dormant accounts and prepares accounts for escheatment to the State.
9. Serves as the primary contact for complex issues and maintains current knowledge of specific financial products and regulations. Leads efforts of development and implementation of new products and services, as well as deposit initiatives.
10. Verifies incoming and outgoing wire transfers to ensure compliance requirements set by the Bank Secrecy Act and OFAC regulations. Escalates items of concern to management and other internal departments as needed.
11. Acts as catalyst between Business Units to provide guidance, knowledge, efficiencies, and support with completing department projects. Supports services for credit and debit cards, ATM management, and support of online banking services.
12. Leads the creation and maintenance of department procedures.
13. Mentors and trains other members of the Operations Team on all daily and advanced functions.
14. Assists Executive Team with implementation of Credit Union’s strategic goals.
15. Backs up aspects of Director, Branch Services’ job duties.
16. Other duties and projects as assigned.
