Pay Range:
- The full pay range is $113,726.00-$170,588.00 annually.
- We provide an additional $2.00 per hour bilingual differential for those employees who can support our members’ financial needs effectively in a second language; subject to verification of strong grasp of financial terms utilizing language skillset.
Compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer of employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.
Job Overview:
This position is responsible for providing technical expertise in designing and implementing core solutions that drive innovation. Champions and leverages established core system best practices across the organization. Ensures core solutions deliver tangible business value, supports enterprise initiatives, fosters a culture of continuous learning, and mentors other core developer.
What you’ll do:
- Analyzes user/member business needs in order to ensure requirements are integrated into the strategic system direction.
- Identifies and implements solutions to complex issues that are related to production level code defects or process changes.
- Conducts detailed analysis of system interactions to determine technical solutions and resolve problems which are cost effective and consistent with user needs, system capacities and capabilities.
- Works with end users and teams to gather requirements, define scope, research, design, document, and modify software specifications throughout the production life cycle.
- Develops computer programs to enhance efficient use of credit union systems, maintains member data, and produces requested reports for the Credit Union.
- Works with Help Desk and/or Programmers to troubleshoot complex problems to identify if the problem is code or system related.
- Participates as the Senior Programmer on project teams to design or oversee projects with a large scope or increased complexity.
- Provides technical support to users and vendors to quickly resolve system issues in an effort to reduce service interruptions. Serves as a technical resource to employees and clients. Provides support for vendor interface for software releases, patches and troubleshooting.
- Assists in solving resolving system errors or correction of database records.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum five (5) years experience in software engineering systems engineering or similar technical role with two (2) years of Symitar PowerOn Development.
What you’ll bring:
- Knowledge of federal, state and local laws, statutes, regulations codes and standards related to the area of responsibility.
- Knowledge of credit union policies, procedures and established processes.
- Knowledge of IT practices and professional standards.
- Knowledge of IT processing systems including software and hardware.
- Knowledge of Jack Henry Symitar systems and configurations.
- Knowledge in Symitar PowerOn Development.
- Understanding of the common tools used to maintain Symitar systems (OpCon, ARCU).
- Deal tactfully with sensitive issues.
- Detect and trace errors in logic.
- Handle multiple projects simultaneously, organize workload, and prioritize workload.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality in all areas of responsibility.
- Work extended hours as required or requested by management to complete assigned projects, maintain appropriate staffing levels to provide service levels for member facing jobs or to ensure safety requirements are met.
Total Rewards:
This position is eligible for Full-Time Regular benefits. Employees and their eligible family members have access to a wide array of employee benefits, such as medical, dental, vision and life insurance coverage. Includes an option for Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance to be paid at a 100% by company for the employee only coverage. We also offer Health Care FSA (HCFSA), Health Savings Account (HSA) with employer contributions, and Dependent Care FSA (DCFSA). Employees also have access to Life and AD&D insurance. Employees are able to enroll in our 401k plan. Full-Time Regular employees accrue 8 hours of vacation and 8 hours of sick leave, on a monthly basis. Full-Time Regular hired employees also receive 11 paid holidays throughout the calendar year, 1 floating holiday, 16 hours of self-care time, and 16 hours of volunteer time (may be prorated based on hire date in the initial calendar year).
All benefits except 401k start the first of the month after 30 days of employment. Employees become eligible to contribute to 401k on the first of the month following 60 days of employment.
