Pacific NW Federal Credit Union in NE Portland is seeking a full-time Collections Specialist I to help collect on early to mid-stage delinquent loans and accounts. This position starts at a highly competitive rate starting between $20-24. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A COLLECTIONS SPECIALIST I

As a Collections Specialist, you will be critical part of our Collections team, reporting to the Collections Manager. You will be collecting on early to mid-stage delinquent loans and accounts by:

  • Contact members to collect on delinquent loans and overdrawn accounts;
  • Handle texting and email campaigns;
  • Generate, print, and mail daily letters;
  • Monitor and respond to general inquires sent to the Collection’s group via phone, text, email, and chat.

This position offers the potential for a remote/in office hybrid schedule following at least three months of successful employment. You will get great satisfaction out of serving members who may be experiencing hardship and contributing to the financial stability of the Credit Union.

COLLECTIONS SPECIALIST I QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 1 year Credit Union or Banking experience REQUIRED
  • Minimum of 6 months collections experience PREFERRED
  • Must possess strong written and verbal communication, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, ability to learn and adapt to new technology.
  • Must possess strong skills in multi-tasking, de-escalation techniques, attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

COLLECTIONS SPECIALIST I WORK SCHEDULE

This position works M – F 8:30am – 5pm, with some opportunity to work some remote hours following three months of successful employment.
