David Curtis
Director, Compliance Services

David Curtis is the director of compliance services at the GoWest Credit Union Association. In this role, he is responsible for responding to credit union compliance inquiries, and informing and instructing credit unions on new compliance responsibilities through updates and council meetings. He is a liaison, facilitator, and presenter at the compliance and collectors’ networking councils. Curtis also updates and audits the information on Infosight, contributes weekly articles to the Anthem newsletter, and researches compliance requests for the legislative and regulatory teams.

Curtis graduated from the University of Montana with a business administration degree in finance and marketing. He’s earned certification as a Credit Union Compliance Expert (CUCE) from CUNA. Prior to joining the compliance department at the Association, Curtis spent four years as an online banking product analyst at a for-profit financial institution.

The people that make up the movement are Curtis’ favorite part of being involved with credit unions. He enjoys engaging with credit union professionals.
