Carmen Vigil
SVP, CU Engagement & Development

Carmen Vigil serves as the Senior Vice President of CU Engagement and Development for the GoWest Credit Union Association. In this role she has the pleasure of connecting with various micro-communities across Oregon, Washington, and Idaho including Credit Union Chapters, Councils, Leaders of Small Credit Unions, Young Credit Union Professionals, Alumni of Western CUNA Management School, and more. She serves as a member of the Juntos Avanzamos Advisory Board and volunteers for various organizations including Financial Beginnings and the Treehouse Graduation Success program.

Carmen has worked in the Credit Union Movement for over 10 years and has been named a Trailblazer under 40 by Credit Union Times. Prior to her role at the NWCUA, she worked in several roles at Rivermark Community Credit Union where she was active on multiple committees including Community and Governmental Affairs. She also served as a board member for the Young Credit Union Professionals (YCUP) networking group. Carmen graduated from Portland State University in 2013 with a degree in political science.

Carmen is a proud Credit Union Development Educator. She is constantly in awe of the impact that credit unions make in the communities they serve. A true believer in the power of collaboration, Carmen is passionate about building connections with people and helping them succeed.
