Biography

Sarah Snell Cooke has built her career helping credit union organizations tell their stories. She founded Cooke Consulting Solutions in 2017 and in 2021, teamed up with her husband to launch The Credit Union Connection, a media and education platform that delivers industry news and insights — with a little sass — to credit unions and their business partners.

With nearly 30 years of experience in the credit union community, Sarah is a respected industry voice and former award-winning publisher and editor-in-chief of Credit Union Times. Her commitment to advancing the movement extends beyond journalism and entrepreneurship. She serves on the board of FI SAFE, an organization dedicated to helping credit unions better support victims and survivors of domestic violence and human trafficking.

Sarah also brings firsthand credit union leadership experience, having served 12 years on the board of APL FCU, including as vice chair. She was the founding chair of the Capital Region Sister Society of WOCCU’s Global Women’s Leadership Network, helping foster leadership development and connections for women across the credit union industry. She holds an MBA and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in Journalism.
