BIOGRAPHY:

Robert Blumberg, CEO and President of Wauna Federal Credit Union, began his career in 1980 at a small bank in Los Angeles in the accounting department. He worked his way up to be the Controller of the bank, then moved through various departments of the bank and into management, where he became the CFO, before leaving the bank in 1993.

He then joined Southern Pacific Bank, a $2.5 billion bank, as its Chief Operations Officer. Afterwards, he worked as VP of Compliance and CRA Officer for First Bank of Beverly Hills. In this role, he put together complex community development loans as part of a program that supported the bank’s community development efforts. In 2000, Robert joined MaPS Credit Union as their CFO, where he restructured the investment portfolio and set up an ALM process that was well received by regulators. In 2007, after a national search, Robert joined Wauna Federal Credit Union as its CEO and President.

Robert studied accounting at the University of Johannesburg in South Africa. He received a business degree from Warner Pacific College in Portland, Ore., and completed his MBA at George Fox University in Newberg, Ore.
