BIOGRAPHY:
Having more than 30 years of marketing, branding, communications, and organizational management experience, Marty Dickinson is passionate about leading others through change and helping teams look forward.
As the chief marketing officer at STCU, Marty is responsible for brand marketing, community relations, government affairs, and facilities as well as overseeing the commercial banking division. Prior to her role at STCU, Marty served as Executive Vice President of Culture Enhancement at Umpqua Bank. There, she was responsible for integrating 4,500 associates into the bank’s iconic and progressive culture while constantly evolving it to align with the bank’s mission and vision.
A native of Spokane, Marty is equally passionate about her hometown. Before joining Sterling Bank (now Umpqua Bank) in 2011, Marty served as the president of the Downtown Spokane Partnership for six years, where she helped attract more than $3 billion in urban reinvestment to enhance Spokane’s downtown district. Her private sector work includes key management and high-level marketing roles in the telecommunications industry.
Marty has been featured in the regional and national press, including being named one of Spokane’s Top 20 Under 40 in 2009 and being included on Spokane’s Power 40 Most Influential People list on multiple occasions.
A graduate of Washington State University, Marty serves as past chair of the Washington State University Board of Regents, past chair of the Spokane Public Facilities District Board of Directors, and chair of LaunchNW. She is also a member of the Regence BlueShield WA Community Board of Directors and Coeur d’Alene Area EDC/Jobs Plus, Inc. Board of Directors.
