Jim Scott
Jim is Senior Advisor for Financial Institutions within the Ceres Accelerator for Sustainable Capital Markets. In this role, Jim works to enhance the resiliency of U.S. and global capital markets by advising banks, financial regulators, and other systemic actors on sustainability and climate risk management best practices.
Prior to joining Ceres, Jim worked in the global finance industry as an international banking and capital markets specialist. For over 25 years, Jim advised multinational corporations, multilateral organizations, and governments on financing and risk management in G10 and emerging markets. Most recently, he was based in London, U.K., as Citi’s solutions head for Central & Eastern Europe, Russia, the Middle East, Pakistan, and Africa. Jim has also advised senior policymakers & private sector leaders in the Caribbean, Central America, Canada, Western Europe, and the United States.
Jim is a CFA charter holder and FSA credential holder. He is also a graduate of Harvard Business School’s General Manager Program and the Harvard Kennedy School’s PLC program, which focuses on Public Policy Design and Moral Leadership. He is married with two children and lives in Boston.
