Jeremy Bender
Biography
Jeremy Bender serves as a Director, Head of Agribusiness Lending at Interra Credit Union, where he leads a team dedicated to providing financial solutions that help farmers and agribusinesses succeed. With a deep passion for agriculture and rural communities, Jeremy works closely with producers across Indiana and Michigan to support growth, manage risk, and strengthen the long-term sustainability of their operations.
Jeremy’s connection to agriculture began on his family’s dairy farm in Northern Indiana. After graduating from Purdue University, he spent 12 years in the construction industry before joining Interra Credit Union as a junior agricultural lender. Over the past 14 years, he has advanced through a variety of lending and leadership roles, developing expertise in agricultural finance, credit analysis, portfolio management, and team development.
As a leader, Jeremy is committed to mentorship, servant leadership, and helping team members reach their full potential. He recently completed a two-year Indiana Agricultural Leadership Program, where he expanded his knowledge of industry issues, public policy, and collaborative leadership. He is passionate about building relationships, supporting rural economic development, and ensuring Interra remains a trusted financial partner for farm families and agribusinesses.
Jeremy is actively involved in his local church and enjoys supporting local community events, agricultural education initiatives, as well as industry events throughout the region. He and his wife, along with their three daughters, reside in northern Indiana near the family farm. They remain closely connected to the farming community that continues to shape Jeremy’s personal values and professional mission.
