SESSION, DATE, & TIME:

The Can-Do Mindset: How to Get Unstuck
Oct. 14, 3 – 4 p.m. MT

BIOGRAPHY:

In an unpredicted meeting 30,000+ miles up in the sky, Simon Sinek challenged Denise Gabel to redefine how she defines herself. He challenged her to set aside titles the world has given her and uncover her true, authentic self. What was she passionate about? The answer became clear. Denise is a Can-do-ologist.

She is a person who sees life through the lens of can. The key to her success – both professionally and personally – comes down to how she sees opportunities that are presented to her and how she tackles challenges that cross her path. She knows she can tackle anything. And she does.

As with most Can-doers, Denise finds joy in empowering others to embrace the power of can. She’s made it her life’s work to do so. She encourages everyone she meets to stand in their authentic power, realize that they can generate their own happiness, and supports leaders and organizations in creating a vibe that attracts Can-doers and retains them.

Denise is an international bestselling author, professional speaker, and mentor on the power of change. During her tenure as the Chief Innovation Officer of the Filene Research Institute, she led the prestigious i3 (ideas, innovation, implementation) program throughout the United States and Canada. Denise also served as Chief Operating Officer at the Northwest Credit Union Association and as the President of the National Speakers Association: Northwest Chapter before accepting her new responsibilities on the National Speakers Association Chapter Leadership Committee to mentor Chapter Leaders throughout the United States.

Denise is a lifelong learner. She is a summa cum laude graduate of Eastern Washington University and served as a member of the Berkeley Innovation Forum at the University of California Berkeley Haas School of Business. She also graduated from Harvard Business School’s Women’s Leadership Forum.
