BIOGRAPHY:

David Puszczewicz is the Director of Community Homeownership Development at WSECU, spearheading the Homeownership Initiative since early 2022. With a commitment to expanding opportunities for first-time, first-generation, and LMI home buyers, his 30-year career in the nonprofit community service sector is focused on affordable housing and support services in the U.S. and Asia. He previously served as the Executive Director of Homeownership Center Northwest, having created more than 250 affordable homes. As Director of Operations for the Salvation Army Northwest, he was responsible for operations in Montana, Idaho, and Washington State. He has been the recipient of multiple awards from the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation, National Endowment, among others. David has held teaching positions at Columbia College, the University of Wisconsin, and the University of Chicago.

His experience and passion continue to drive positive change in the housing sector. David was elected to the Regional Housing Commission Advisory Board and is an active member of several nonprofit boards, the Black Home Initiative, WMBA and Underwriting for Racial Justice pilot program.
