Barbara Mojica
BIOGRAPHY:
As a dedicated advocate for the Latinx community and immigrant rights, Barbara Mojica brings extensive experience in community engagement and financial services. Since August 2022, Barbara has been the Executive Director at The National Association of Latino Credit Union & Professionals (NLCUP).
Barbara’s leadership has profoundly shaped the mission and growth of NLCUP, and her strategic approach and passion for empowering Latinx communities have helped NLCUP become a national leader in advocating for financial inclusion and economic empowerment.
Barbara has been part of the credit union movement for over 8 years and is committed to ensuring that credit unions understand how to better serve the Latinx community through her advocacy efforts. Her extensive experience includes various roles in financial services and community engagement, where she has consistently championed the importance of financial inclusion and equity. Her passion for helping Latinx communities and supporting other Latinx credit union professionals drives her commitment to financial empowerment and social justice.
Barbara holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke and was the Protégé winner for her respective credit union in 2018. Her academic background has equipped her with a deep understanding of social dynamics and the importance of community-centric approaches in financial services.
