BIOGRAPHY:

Amy Nelson is the Chief Executive Officer at Point West Credit Union, focusing on financial inclusion and empowerment within underserved communities. Their leadership is dedicated to making banking accessible for everyone in the Portland metro area.

Before their current role, Amy held leadership roles at Point West Credit Union, building on a commitment to community development and financial accessibility. Their work history includes contributing to the credit union’s mission of providing equitable financial resources and community partnerships.

Earlier in their career, Amy served as an HR Generalist & Executive Assistant at Advantis Credit Union. During their tenure, they applied their knowledge of human resources and employee relations to support the credit union’s operations. Their work at Advantis also encompassed contributing to member services and banking solutions within the financial cooperative.

Amy is an Annie Vamper Helping Hands Award Winner, demonstrating their commitment to community engagement and social responsibility. They also hold an SPHR certification from HRCAI. Amy’s background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism/Communication from Pacific University.
