Hellen Gibson

Biography

Helen Gibson joined Express Credit Union in 2024 as CEO after building experience across multiple areas of the credit union industry. Since joining the movement in 2007 as a financial educator and outreach specialist with Denver Community Credit Union (now Zing Credit Union), she has developed partnerships, products, and programs designed to strengthen financial well-being. In 2022, she joined Red Rocks CU to expand her knowledge of retail, lending, and back-office operations. Helen believes that strong credit unions pair operational excellence with a deep commitment to serving their communities and creating opportunities for members to succeed.

In 2008, Express repurposed itself from serving multiple small employer groups to a statewide community credit union, with the specific goal of serving people facing barriers to traditional banking. For this reason, working at Express energizes her and her dedication to our credit union movement.
