Biography

Matt holds a bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He is a graduate of Western CUNA Management School (WCMS), where he earned Highest Honors and received the Charlie Clark Memorial Award. Matt also holds the Certified Chief Executive (CCE) designation from the Credit Union Executives Society CEO Institute.

Matt joined Rogue Credit Union in 2004, leading the Information Services Department. Over the years, he advanced through several executive roles, including Vice President of Sales and Operations, Chief Operations Officer, Chief Financial Officer, and Executive Vice President. In 2022, Matt was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer.

Matt has a strong record of civic and industry involvement. He has served on numerous local and regional boards and committees, including city, county, education, and economic development organizations. Matt is also very involved with the credit union movement, serving on various state and national level committees, including the GoWest Governmental Affairs Committee, Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco’s Community Depository Institutions Advisory Council (CDIAC), Board of Director for the Federal Home Loan Bank (FHLB) Des Moines representing Oregon, Credit Union National Association Regulatory Affairs Committee, and the faculty of Western Credit Union Management School at Pomona College. Matt also serves on the Southern Oregon University Board of Trustees and WCMS Board as an Associate Dean.

Matt is committed to youth education through his church. Throughout his career, he has received multiple professional honors recognizing his leadership, commitment to education, and contributions to the credit union movement.
