BIOGRAPHY:

Edward (Ed) Tierney serves as the Chief Lending Officer at Idaho Central Credit Union (ICCU), leading the credit union’s commercial, mortgage, consumer, treasury, and other key lending functions for one of the nation’s fastest growing credit unions.

Since joining ICCU in 2005 as Vice President of Lending and being named Chief Lending Officer in 2016, he has helped shape the credit union’s lending strategy, operational framework, and credit culture. His leadership has strengthened ICCU’s lending teams, processes, products, and secondary market capabilities.

With more than three decades in financial services, Ed brings deep expertise in credit policy, portfolio risk, and product development. He oversees the full lifecycle of ICCU’s lending operations including production, staffing, budgeting, rate management, compliance, and product enhancements, ensuring exceptional performance and member service.

Before joining ICCU, Ed spent over 11 years with TCF Bank in Colorado and Illinois, leading mortgage, home equity, and consumer lending operations. His early career experience at Beneficial Finance and John Hancock Financial provided the foundation for his underwriting, sales, and portfolio management expertise.

Ed earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from Northern Illinois University and has completed several respected industry leadership programs, including CUNA Management School (CCUE), and the CUES leadership program, strengthening his expertise in executive level credit union management.

Ed is an active member of several professional organizations, including ACUMA and Leadership Pocatello. He has also served on the NeighborWorks Pocatello Loan Committee since 2005 and joined its board in 2022, demonstrating his long standing commitment to community development and housing initiatives.
