BIOGRAPHY:

Jay Curtis is President and CEO of First Credit Union ($775 million in assets, headquartered in Chandler, Arizona), where he has served for more than 22 years. A fourth generation Arizona native, he is a CPA, an Arizona State University accounting graduate, and a Certified Chief Executive through CUES — an executive program held at Darden, Wharton, and Cornell. Prior to CEO, he was the CFO of First Credit Union, CFO of a Harley-Davidson dealership group, Senion Audit Manager and Small Business Consultant for a CPA firm, and served eight years on the Supervisory Committee as a volunteer at a credit union.

Jay values collaboration, unity, continuous personal growth and learning, and developing people. He is deeply committed to the cooperative mission of credit unions and being a steward of the Movement. Jay serves on various boards and committees in the industry and in the community and is currently the Board Chairman of the GoWest Credit Union Association. Outside of work, Jay is a devoted father of five sons and one daughter and enjoys travel, exploring new places, golf, movies, and meaningful conversations that build connection.
